Preserving Our Natural Resources
As 2014 draws to a close, it is a good time to reflect on where we’ve been and where we’re headed. It has been an interesting year at The Composting Network, with highs such as the signing of the Whole Foods Market on Veterans Blvd and the DEQ naming us to the Louisiana Environmental Leadership Program; and lows such as some electric utilities not looking into power purchase agreements at “survivable” rates for digesters.

But all and all, in 2014, The Composting Network’s diversion of organics to composting and anaerobic digesting increased and surpassed its 2013 numbers. This upcoming year, we will release and train new recycling facilities in and outside of Louisiana on how to use our new custom software (www.WasteCollectionSoftware.com). We also have free composting service for restaurants, universities and businesses who sign up for our Compostable Purchasing Program. As more and more people become familiar with our services and its benefits, we anticipate remaining the largest composting collection facility in Louisiana.
