Compost Driver

The Compost Driver will safely pick up materials from restaurants, businesses and colleges and universities located throughout Greater New Orleans, delivering them to our headquarters in Old Gentilly for processing.

Candidates must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record. Should have familiarity with the local area and have efficient map reading skills for local pickups. Must operate safely and efficiently in a variety of box trucks. Must be able to perform physical tasks including being able to lift up to 100 pounds. Must keep an organized and professional appearance at all times. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential. Must interact with public in a professional manner.

CDL License preferred.

Shifts Available
1:00 am to 6:00 am

Pay Rate
$14 – $18 depending on experience


Hopper

Receptionist /Administrative Assistant

Wage / Salary: $18
This Green Company in New Orleans area is seeking a part-time Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to manage the front desk and office area. Perform general administrative duties. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, reliable and comfortable working under deadlines.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Answer phones and greet clients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Filing and light typing
  • Manage office supplies by checking inventory and ordering items
  • Coordinate maintenance of office equipment
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
  • Keep common office areas neat and organized
  • Check mail and deliver to staff
  • Assist office staff in various projects as necessary

Qualifications must include:

    • Proficiency in MS Office or Mac with expertise in Word, QuickBooks and Excel
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
    • Superior organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
    • Professional demeanor and positive attitude
    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
    • Excellent research skills and attention to detail
    • Working knowledge of office equipment, such as printers and scanners
    • High school diploma, AA degree preferred
    • 2-5 years administrative/office work experience – previous office experience a plus

This is a part-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday Wednesday and Friday, 8:30am to 1:30pm.


Marketing Assistant- Internship

Wage/Salary: $400 stipend per month

The job requires maintenance of client database, staying in contact with existing clients and searching for new leads. It is key that this person be driven to expand our client base via e-mails, letters and phone calls. Good grammar and letter writing skills are required.

Office Assistant – Operations

Wage/Salary: $500 per month

Perform errands that assist daily functions: warehouse, bank and customer errands.

General reception duties, including phones.

Assist with meeting planning and implementation.

Monitor and order office supplies.

Maintain office filing, cleaning and storage systems.

Keep filing/document management system for electronic and paper documents organized


Quality Control Manager

Wage/Salary: $400 stipend per month

Assist with conducting project test reviews for safety and health issues, and related regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Seed Planting Test

Attend staff composting project meetings, other admin meetings.

Participate in the development and writing of reports.

Review and help update our program plans, manuals and procedures.

Attend weekly safety meetings and safety briefings.

Research regulatory records and data.
