Preserving Our Natural Resources

The Composting Network is working in conjunction with the City of New Orleans to assist with Hurricane Zeta debris removal.

Contractors have removed more than 72,261 cubic yards (cy) of vegetative debris, 4,444 hazardous leaning and hanging limbs and 94 damaged trees that have been ground into 14,754 cy of mulch that has been transported to The Composting Network. In addition, more than 8,900 cy of construction and demolition (C&D) debris has been removed from public rights of ways.
